“CEG COSMOS” – STEERING BLOCKED AND TOWED TO MONTROSE
According to Vesseltracker.com:
The “CEG COSMOS”, en route from Egersund to Grangemouth with a cargo of 1201 tonnes of fishmeal, got its steering stuck hard to port and went adrift at one knot speed 95 nautical miles east of Aberdeen in the morning of April 14, 2022.
The anchor handling tug “ATLANTIC MERLIN” (IMO: 9557458) went on standby at 6 p.m. in a distance of five nautical miles.
The offshore tug “LOKE VIKING” (IMO: 9423815) was due to arrive on scene at 10.30 p.m. to tow the ship back to Montrose.
On April 15 at 5.50 p.m. the convoy was approaching the port.
